My Dad owns an E-Type whose first owner was Charles H. Older, the judge in the Manson trial. When Older went to sell the car to his neighbor (this was probably in the late 60's), they were haggling over 500 bucks. Finally, the judge suggested they flip a coin - winner got the 500.
