Another thing...
Don't think this is a special enough car to warrant the most powerful 3 letter moniker in all of automotive history...
Part of being a GTO, IMO is being a unique car recognizable from the rest of the lineup. The 250 GTO looks nothing like any of the other 250s and the 288 shares essentially very little (if anything) mechanically with the 308...the look is also noticeably different.
