I had always babied my clutch, but I did have an issue with my throttle cable coming apart, which put undue stress on my clutch during that time. When my mechanic tore-down my engine, he remarked that my clutch was TOAST. I have 33K on the clock.....oh well. Compared to brake discs, aftermarket exhausts, and other items people throw money at on a 308, a new clutch is less than $700 and easy for the DIY person to replace so there's little to get excited about.
