Howdy, all! I'm still trying to wipe the smile off my face from the
wonderful track event that Bruce Ledoux and Leon Bourdage put together at
Watkins Glen two weeks ago. It's made more difficult by the recent column
from Ezra Dyer, one of the best and funniest automotive journalists working
today (and he also contributes a regular column and features to the Improper
Bostonian). Besides the NY Times, Esquire, Men's Journal and other national
publications, Ezra's best stuff can be found in Automobile Magazine. Check
out his latest column on car clubs, wherein he opines on the events put on
by the FCA/NER (disclaimer: he quotes yrs trly; I must have been drunk...)

We're in full approach to the summer season. The Newport Concours is
kicking off the New England major show season this weekend. The FCA
Concorso in Hartford on Father's Day weekend is rapidly approaching, along
with the Village Picnic on the day prior. We're also having our official
FCA/NER annual meeting at the Friars-hosted cocktail party that night, so
REGISTER TODAY! Major bonus news - Sam Posey (!!!) has agreed to serve as a
judge at Concorso! How cool is that?!? Oh, and a few sponsorship slots are
still available - contact Dave Friar ASAP.

And for you F1 fans, after a lackadaisical first race, the season has come
alive, with a variety of winners and weirdness. For those of you who
*aren't* among the **One-Hundred-and-Four** of us heading up together to
Montreal for the GP of Canada, why don't you join your fellow Tifosi at
Rizzuto's restaurant in Westport, CT, for a race viewing and informal car
show? Details below!

vty,
