Hi All -I ended up contacting moneygram.com and asked if the MO was valid. They just replied that the MO has no value. So now I know - it was a scam of some sort. It still seems like a bizarre way to steal money from people! I wonder if I'll ever hear from him again -
Oh well, at least it didn't do me any harm.Take care Ferraristi ! (that doesn't look right - oh well, you get the idea)

Larry asks "Speaking of bank charges - how can they justify charging a customer $35 or more because a check bounces? All the banking stuff is done electronically AFAIK there's no labor cost involved . . ."
Cost accounting. Just like the AA Fuel Dragsters - add up all the expenses, divide by the total number of runs and get a figure like $5,000 to $6,000 per run. That's an expensive ticket per mile, eh?
Heh heh DOUGOr - the banks just get tired of junk happening by unaware customers - and it's meant to sting like a parking ticket. Oh - and another reason? 'Cause they can - BUWHAahhahahaha.
