Greetings All,

It has been an ultra-long time since I've posted anything to the list, but a
few out there might still remember me; Nero Metallic 308GTS QV...

I still have my car, and as an "experienced soul" have been pressed into
service by a friend that is in the market for either a Daytona, or a Boxer
512 injected.  This guy is not a "low baller" but has to live within his
means, and thus, is just looking for a solid driver (particularly in the
case of the Daytona, where we are talking much larger numbers), that is
mechanically well sorted; certainly not willing to pay premiums for
books/tools/history/awards/etc...

While I understand the advantages that a good dealer brings to the table
(and plan to investigate a few cars that are listed by dealers), it would
obviously be nice to avoid paying dealer margins.  As a consequence, I was
wondering if any listers had a line on private parties that might be looking
to move a car that would fit the bill.

Also, if anyone has knowledge of dealer cars that should be checked out (or
avoided), I'd be interested in that too.

BTW: I realize that such bits of info can be sensitive at times, so don't
hesitate to respond off-list to me directly.
