I have a 2.8 Ghz Imac quad core 8M ram 1TB hard drive. It is very fast, vey cool and I love it. It has a time machine app, buy a 200 WD hard drive plug it in and it auto backups everything on the hour. Hide it and if your house burns down or computer stolen
plug in a new computer and within hours everything is as you left it.  My it friends say macs make you stupid and in a way they are right, it does all the stuff for you so you can concentrate on what you want to do. I love my mac as much as my Ferrari
and thats saying alot. I dont love corporations ( except the Soylent Corp)  or apple per se but if you want a killer machine this is it. I have never got behind laptops as I spend most my time at a desk at the end of the day and 27" is too small for me now!!!

Hi Gang -
It's not quite time yet but I'm leaning toward switching to MAC when my
laptop needs replacing.  I've had enough of Microsoft and it's strange ways.
From all I hear Mac is the way to go.

How do  I buy one?  What specs are important?  Is it the same as a PC?  Is
Apple the right one to get?

Any comments would help - I know *nothing* about Mac except what others
have said (largely here) - TIA -
