On my old (Rick's old, Dave's old, Rick's old, someone else's now) Mondial QV (not a 3.2), I had an issue with the Bosch water valve with a little solenoid in it. it was under the dash and was really fun to take out. Make sure you've drained all the coolant from the heater stuff before disconnecting it or else you'll wash your floor mats and carpet with coolant. Ask me how I know.

 

Do you have a parts manual?

One of the guys at FERR Parts told me that the part number is now the same for both 31&33 when they used to be different.
Does this sound resonable that the TDC sensor would be the same as the speed sensor#33?
 
Also one other issue I'm having is that the interior heat does not work. The fan works but now heat.  
Anyone have this problem before. I guess it could be the temperature sensor or thermistat control or the selenoid that changes the air flow valve??? Any idea's on the best way to figure whats gone wrong?

If memory serves me right, it comes off the ignition module. Have look at http://www.fmscarparts.com/part_diag.php?xref=Mondial_3.2_49

 

Of the 2 sensors, I believe the one that also drives the tach is no 31.

Hi guys,
Hoping one of you experianced guys might be able to help.
I recently bought a nice 87 Mondial 3.2 which runs nice but the tach registers just over half of what it should be.
I've read this is a common problem and that it is the tach cam sensor that needs replacing.
Does anyone know what the correct name of the sensor is and exactly where it is located on the 3.2 motor??
If I knew where it was I could check for a loose connection before ordering a new part.
