Our buddy Victor had a motor built for his '75 LP400 which did just about 470bhp...delicious and he's very happy with it.
Apparently some time ago, Burtoni stopped doing the work himself and now lets employees do the handiwork.

Doesn't Burtoni have something of a reputation for never getting to the end of a project? I seem to remember the Lambo boards describing him as something of a Hennessey-type character, where if the car ever got finished, it ran like a scalded cheetah, but the odds of getting your car completed were directly proportional to the number of Italian guys you sent to the shop full-time to "supervise" progress... Didn't he have a long-running tiff with our old Lister Nick from California?

Cosmetics don't scare me...those mechanical rebuilds seem
ridiculous.
Definitely worth it...I want to see a Burtoni Countach vs a Carobu BB duke it
out 0-150mph.
No mufflers allowed.

Not sure, but I'd estimate this build up to be in the region

The engine work must've been $30k at least...not cheap to mod Ferrari.
100bhp over stock is legit though.

It's not the engine work that worries me (although I'd do it!).....
It's the damn cosmetics....that looks to be a mini fortune.
I think Scottie should have an idea how much the paint & interior would
have run this guy...
All worth it in the end I think. The BB is a legend...
