I have found an inexpensive Harbor Freight tools portable jump start battery plugged into my trunk power outlet will keep  full charge forever and has saved my fanny many times after my son leaves the interior light on…..  Thus, a generic battery works just fine.

I used to buy Wal-Mart $50 batteries with the 3 year no-questions-asked
guarantee and get a new battery free every 2 years 11 months.  But they
no longer make the Ferrari 308 size.
