If you're selling the product and tuning service, wouldn't it be to your advantage to "produce" less than stellar numbers for your stock readings then show how amazing your work is?

 

Then just charge $5k for the dyno runs and no customer will ever want to challenge your results. :)

Here we go. The old dyno debate. Forget the numbers. Forget the drivetain losses. Every dyno reads differently

 

All that matters is that on the same dyno that 458 showed a significant jump in the power NUMBER. (which still surprises me)

yeah I am still not buying it at all...

My 1st vette put down 360 at the wheels (rated 385), my 348 put down 255 (rated 300), second vette put down 358 (rated 400)...  Granted the Chevy's at least were woefully under-rated from the factory but still... 

So your telling me that Ferrari's brand new latest greatest video game, isn't as efficient as the "bane of Ferrari" the 348?  Man I gotta go back to that Ghetto and bring it home...

Ah yeah I call bullshit on that.

450 hp out a motor that claims 562 at the crank?  Thats a 25% driveline loss...  I don't think so.  At most its probably 18%, but more likely around 15%...  So it should see 480-490 at the wheels, and likely is under-rated from the factory a bit anyhow (at least most American muscle engines are).

The dyno shop was "out of order" that day conveniently.
