No issues with it, but if you do it:

1. Don't go too dark. I did my black Corvette's windows in 5% tint. Looks awesome but I can't see a damned thing out the back at night. Makes backing up quite the challenge. In our state 20% is max legal for back and rear windows and 35% is max for side windows or windshield strips. Anything darker needs a doctor's note.
2. Make sure you see the film on a car window before having it applied. When they tinted the side windows of my Durango the film had an odd green tint to it that wasn't obvious until it was on the car. Looked weird on a black truck with stock charcoal tinted rear windows. Eventually had to take it off and redo it.
3. Make sure the film has a warranty against fade/color change. Nothing cheesier than a Ferrari with a purple bubbled tint on the back windows... :-)

Welcome back Jim.  A few were saying just the other day how slow it's been around here.  I think with the holidays, and generally being a slow time as may up north a bit tuck their cars away for the winter, and not much going on in F1.

Clyde was doing a service on his car, and has pics if you're interested.  There was a bit of chat about the new Porsche 918 RST (that tells you it's slow when the Ferrari list start chatting about the latest Porsche race car! heehee), and a few other things.

I'm sure someone on digest can shoot you a copy of messages over the past couple of weeks.  It won't be a large file. ;-)

I've been on this list since '99.   You'd think that I'd remember to swap the list over to my new Email address when it changed on 12/31....DOH!
If I missed any interesting threads from 1/1 to today, can someone fwd to me?
Thanks!   Glad to be back. :)
