Thank you so much for telling us about Tom and please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.  I know that it must be incredibly difficult for you to have to deal with this and I very much appreciate your kind consideration in taking the time to let all of us on the Ferrari List know when there are so many other things on your mind.

 

I have been on Ferrari List since about 1997 and I think that Tom has been a presence there since that time as well, if not even longer.  It's amazing how quickly the years go by and I am sure that you may wonder how quickly your time with Tom went by as well.

 

Throughout all of his time on the List, Tom was a source of information, sharing, caring, advice, support and stability to the other people who are here and who have come and gone.   I never had the pleasure to meet Tom in person but I felt that he let me into his life with his contributions about cars, Ferraris, Mario and life in general on the List.  He was very kind and gracious to me over the years on a variety of things and I was pleased that we were able to share resume advice with each other a while back.

 

The List has been overtaken by newer technology that offers flashier bulletin boards for posting and yet somehow there is still a small circle of friends on the List that hang together sharing their lives as well as their love of Ferraris.  In some ways we are a small extended family and we will miss Tom for all of the good things that he brought to our lives.

 

I hope that the pain of losing Tom so early fades with the realization that he and his memory are still with you in spirit and that his pain and suffering from his illness is over.  There is very little that I can say to ease your sorrow but please know that I and Tom's many, many friends on the Ferrari List will miss him terribly and will think of you often.

 

May you find some solace knowing that Tom is at rest.

Hi, Tom Reynolds passed away at home @ 8:00 am on Friday, February 11th.  He was in extreme pain near the end and liquid morphine only helped a little.  At least he's not in pain now.  He will be cremated and we will just have a private family service here at the house.  Tom and I were married for 36 years and knew each other for 37 years.  He was a good man.  I feel pretty devastated. 

 

I know Tom thoroughly enjoyed corresponding with you guys over the years.  He certainly loved cars and bicycle riding.  Anyway I just wanted to let you know the situation.  I probably won't be responding to Tom's email.  If anyone needs to reach me my email is kittnpur [at] hotmail.com but I'm not as prompt as Tom was in responding.  Plus I have a lot on my plate now.
