Even the GW Maharishi himself, Al Goreon admits he was a POS for helping further the Ethanol scam. Now if we could get him  to admit the same  about his GW occult too.

Gore Admits He Was Wrong About Ethanol Subsidies: ?Not Good Policy?

 

Former Vice President Al Gore is admitting that he was wrong about ?first generation? ethanol subsidies, calling them ?not good policy? and admitting his support of them were clouded by his presidential ambitions.

From Reuters:

?It is not a good policy to have these massive subsidies for (U.S.) first generation ethanol,? said Gore, speaking at a green energy business conference in Athens sponsored by Marfin Popular Bank.

?First generation ethanol I think was a mistake. The energy conversion ratios are at best very small.

?It?s hard once such a programme is put in place to deal with the lobbies that keep it going.?

He explained his own support for the original programme on his presidential ambitions.

?One of the reasons I made that mistake is that I paid particular attention to the farmers in my home state of Tennessee, and I had a certain fondness for the farmers in the state of Iowa because I was about to run for president.?

Gore also said that rising food prices could be fueled by the ethanol craze. ?The competition with food prices is real,? he said.

Ethanol-free gasoline does improve mileage. Alcohol loves water and increases chances of fuel line freeze-up in winter. But the worst is,while we are subsidizing ethanol production to the extent of 50% of our corn crop there are food riots breaking out as the price of foodstuffs rises arounf the world. See Libya etc. 

Ethanol is a subsidized sop to the farmers by the political poobahs. Nothing more, it does not save fuel. Fuel use increases if you include fuel used to grow the corn used in ethanol. Bullshit bullshit bullshit. It's all about swaying the Iowa Primaries.

I went to a movie in Olathe 2 weeks ago and while driving through Gardner KS noticed a Shell station the made a point of NO ALCOHOL.

So I said what the hell and filled up. The price was 5% more than Alcohol SHELL stations.

 

The Subaru I use for my road trips displays the it is getting 25 mpg. 

 

After a few miles it was showing 30 mpg, thats a 20% increase.

 

I was in Gardner today (took my wife to the movie and lunch for our 44th anniversary) and filled up again at the NO ALCOHOL SHELL station and when I got home the display showed 31.3 mpg.

 

I talked to station owner, and he was proud that he does not have any alcohol in any of his grades of gasoline.

He told me it is difficult to get no Alcohol because most suppliers don't have enough gasoline in the tanker ( it is mixed when it is pumped into the tanks at the station) to supply no alcohol - even regular (87) has ethanol.

 

He went on some lenght about how much more gasoline was being used by blending and he did not mention the gasoline being used  to grow and harvest the corn.

 

Made since, until there is NO IOL.
