Word on the street is it's gonna be a missile:
- Same base 6.0L V12 engine as current 599 but with direct-injection added and a few other tweaks. Rated tentatively at 670HP.
- Same overall dimensions.
- Switch to 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, same unit as the FF..
- Nearly identical KERS system as shown on the 599-HY-KERS concept car at Geneva last year. A small electric engine will add 102HP burst for 20 seconds on driver command, lithium-ion batteries to be recharged by regenerative braking. Weight of the entire electric motor + system = 80lbs.
- Total weight of the car is expected to be "similar" to the current 599 (not GTO, the base car) despite the addition of heavier dual-clutch tranny and KERS system.
- For 20-seconds of bliss the car will be outputting 772HP...
- $400,000+ MSRP
