I bought a 55" Samsung ( my wife could not see the 3D on Sony and I saw flicker) that converts 2d to 3D.

Not wild about the glasses, or the $1k price drop after the 1st of the year, but the conversion process is pretty good.

I bought it for gaming and it gives depth to games not in 3d and really shows off the game for 3D.

 

Back to F1 it does enhace the picture, but sometime the 2D to 3D algorytrhm gets confused. I notice this most on dark cars

example Red Bull's nose gets moved to the background on some angles.
