Textile Industry? I don't buy a single thing "Made in China"
(or Pockistan, or India... or Vietnam.. or) if I can avoid it.
This means I also pay $200-400 for a shirt, where others pay $40.
Made in USA or Italy from US or Italian fabrics.
Considering I GREW UP in a (former) Textile town in MA, let me tell
you why most of the "mass market" Textile manufacturers left. UNIONS.
DemocRATS forcing UNIONS down everyone's throats.
(Yet, the idiots keep checking (D) and "Union YES" while more and
more employers say "Unions HELL NO" and leave MA with haste)
A.J. Wright just closed down their distribution center and moved
out of the area.
Rather than take 10/hr - they demanded $20/hr + another 10/hr in
pensions and benefits.
They got ZERO in the end.
The best purpose for Fall River, MA right now? An old-fashioned
above ground nuclear test. Wait until the winds are going to

Companies are not going to stay around when labor costs are not

UNIONS have either bankrupted or chased out of the country:
Textiles
Electronics Assembly
Machining
GM
Chrysler (twice)
They are about to chase Boeing out.
That being said.
MY products are MADE IN AMERICA (and CANADA)
Molds? Machined in USA
Pins? Machined in N Idaho
Plastic? Cast in USA of US materials
Circuit Boards? Assembled in Canada
Final Assy/Test? Both USA and Canada
Go out of my way to BUY AMERICAN if it's possible.
Jeans? Made in America (some in Italy too)
Shoes? it's HARD, but mostly made in America (or Europe)
Sneakers? Aforementioned New Balance 993's
Bike? America
Cars? USA (Jeep), Italy, Germany, USA - and one made
in Japan (Wife wanted a Toyota Highlander Hybrid)
Would have had more US cars had not the C5 been a boat,
and the C6 Z06 been a complete piece of "cheese eating
surrender monkey" merde. Built by Unions, Transported
(and DAMAGED) by Unions.
Some things, you have no choice. (like computers)
TV's - designed in Korea - made in Mexico.
Let's move to my house...
Cabinets? Handcrafted in Utah
Windows? Same
Counter tops? Utah of US materials.
Appliances? USA and Germany.
Should I go on?
Lets. Let's talk about food.
I look for 3 things when I buy food for my family.
1) Made in USA - we support a local farm co-op all summer
(You should taste my Bok-Choi and (gulf) Shrimp stir-fries)
2) Organic if possible. and it's usually possible.
3) No HFCS (drives my wife batty!)
