What was even-more telling in the article were the comments below it - some from actual TEXANS who think its idiotic that someone would hold an outdoor event in June....if its too hot for a 'local' to go to the race at that time of the year, why would organizers expect anyone else to?

Does not sound like the city council is going to pay or play ball. But the Promoters will pay to play.
 
Those of you who went to the Canada GP got to see a great race. But I have alway said the place to see a wet GP is TV.
 
I think every year we went to Canada it never failed to shower be it ever so briefly at the hairpin (stands 15).
