Hi Dave – Replaced the fuel filler neck? Gulp,
not to my recollection and it’s been about 15years since I’ve had the
car. I sorta looked up in there but nothing jumped
out at me from the engine compartment. Is that one of those things I have to go thru
the wheel well? I did replace the hoses between each carb but
the hoses on top of the passenger side fuel tank are nigh impossible to get to from
engine compartment. No hint of leakage but just thinking it through
– if it’s a mist and not a puddle – that would equal stinko AND
a nice combustible medium, eh>? Any help is appreciated Thanks DOUG From: David Handa
[mailto:dave [at] davehanda.com] Since we are talking
about a car that is at least 32 years old, have all of the fuel hoses been
replaced yet? How about the
infamous fuel filler neck hose? (between the filler neck and the left
side fuel tank) Dave From: Doug and Terri
Anderson [mailto:dnt [at] dock.net] Yikes – a carbed 308 GTS No apparent gushing – no wet spots on the floor
– but a definite smell. Any hints of common trouble spots? Thanks DOUG |
