Hi Douglas,

To answer your questions posed in your original post.  I know Michael Sheehan and Mark Ketcham.  I have never done business with Mark but had a small transaction with Michael many years ago over some parts.  Some friends have done business with both and they have never had an issue.  The transaction in my case was handled efficiently and Michael delivered what he promised.  European Auto in Costa Mesa was one of the biggest independent Ferrari shops in the 80's and anyone that was into Ferraris then would have known about it.

Your posts on the matter seem to be the ratings of a bitter and angry man.  You've made accusations (To this day are unsubstantiated from what you've posted)  My advice would be to watch very carefully what you say on a public forum unless you can back it up with evidence.
Everyone knows that a broker is there to make money.  It's that simple.  If I put my hand in a meat mincer and it takes my hand off,  would I get angry at the meat mincer?  An educated person would reasonably surmise that a meat mincer would be hostile to my hand.....correct?    And so that entails that I can't blame a broker for trying to make money.  Are you a broker BTW?  Were you trying to make money on the deal?  Sounds like it to me, and I don't think anyone would have an issue with that.  Seems that you are angry because another person was ahead of you in the que.

If Mike "Beat you to a deal" then the problem lies solely with the vendor.  The vendor makes the decision on who will handle the transaction over the disposal of the car.  You had a relationship with them?  So what happened, why didn't they use you?   Perhaps they just felt happier letting someone with more experience with such cars handle the sale?  A previous post mentioned that the vendor was known to Mike for 25 years and Mike had done the research on the car including having the car Classiche Certified before the sale.  Is that correct?

Rather than use the FerrariList to rant speculatively about brokers, why don't you simply clear the air and post the facts?  I could have the above all wrong, maybe I do.  But I haven't seen anything to suggest your posts are nothing more than sour grapes.

Happy driving.

Regards,

Carl.

Has anyone ever heard of European Auto Restoration in Costa Mesa? Mike Sheehan, is listed as the President of this now defunct company. It is reported that he took Hundreds of Thousands of dollars from clients that paid in advance to restore their car, cars were disassembled and pieces sold from these cars and people lost their dream Ferrari's, Lamborgini's and other rare and exotic car. He is still doing business, hiding behind HIS "Ferrari List" Website. "BEWARE".
