Living in the greater NYC are, the logistics seem near impossible. The roads are in no condition to race nor is there adequate runoff anywhere in that area. I heard they were originally including part of Manhattan and utilizing either the Lincoln or Holland tunnels as part of the course. Between the congestion and the poor road conditions and lack of everything necessary, I have no idea how they are going to pull this off. There is basically zero spectator accommodation so how are they going to sell tickets?

My brother lives one mile south - in Hoboken.  I SO hope this really happens.

I have spent a fair amount of time in the area and it is VERY heavily populated - not sure how they are going to balance the needs of the race with the needs of the residents - but I really want it to happen.
