Thanks. I"m not sure that I would get that amount back even on a 5 speed. Figuring that a 5 speed in the U.S. In good shape with a known maintence history should get around $30-35K, the same car with a certificate would have to sell for $36-43k to breakeven. Since a 400i is often a first Ferrari, I wonder how much value a newbie would place on a certificate when so many of those buyers are (foolishly) thinking they are buying a cheap Ferrari. It's hard enough getting them to pay a premium as it is for one that has been kept up versus one that is shiny but with lots of deferred maintenance issues. I think you made a good decision Brett.
