Steve responded and I understand his point and line of thinking, but my answer to your question is no.  The car wouldn't be correct / certified unless it was sitting on the ground in the same condition as when it was certified.  That's like buying a 57 Chevy and saying "it's exactly as it came form the factory IF you repaint it and find the original engine!"  It's either original or modded at any given point in time.

Hi List,

I read the posts about SteveJ putting his F40 through the Classiche program for certification.  Of course, any car gaining the certification could make changes at a later date, *possibly* negating the certification.

Why do I say *possibly*??  Here's my thinking....  Steve has certain mods on his car, which he could reverse to gain the certification.  If he then reinstalled those mods, and for some bizarre reason *did* decide to sell the car, could he say the car IS Classiche certified - "if this box of spare parts I have are reinstalled"?

Just thinkin'....
