Re: If you plan to hang around, I guess we need to teach you a few manners

Dave wasn’t harsh in the least. He said exactly what I was thinking, and just got a chance to type it more quickly.

This list is a fraternity. And any time you want to be a new member in a fraternity, you have to learn the ropes. We’ve got someone who barged in here, loudmouthed and spouting off. Many of us gently (and some less gently) tried to inform him of how we do things around here. This advice was ignored, and then Newbie McNooberson decided to ask another question that demonstrates his noobitute, while juxtaposing it with a claim that he is an expert who wishes to be a bigshot in the market. There’s a disconnect there, and the esteemed Mr. Handa was merely pointing that out. And, as usual, I stand right behind him.

As they say, don’t dish it out if you can’t take it. Clearly, Mr. LeGrand has demonstrated a propensity for dishing it out, and therefore must be willing to take it – even if some think it hard. If this fraternity is not the place for Mr. LeGrand, then perhaps he may wish to redirect his brokerage dreams to antique cat-themed cookware on the Antiques Roadshow.

See what I did there? It’s another cat thread! LOL.

Dave H. has earned respect on this list. Mr. LeGrand has yet to.

If you plan to hang around, I guess we need to teach you a few manners.  One is: do not reply to existing threads, as a means to start a new thread, and simply change the subject heading.  All that extra unrelated material (pages often times) doesn’t need to be forwarded to everyone again (notice how I “clipped” your email, and removed all that excess and unrelated material below it?)

Back to your question:  No, I have never driven a 275 but hope to someday.   Compared to what?  Compared to a modern GT car today, or compared to its contemporaries of the day?  And what “group” had this opinion?

Here is a little history lesson (along with some added salesmanship from RM Auctions:  J  http://www.rmauctions.com/CarDetails.cfm?CarID=r307&SaleCode=MO08

Has anyone ever driven a Ferrari 275 GTB/2 or 4? I recently read something about a women looking for such a car and the group saying that the 275's were poor handling cars. Just asking.
