Michael notes “The seller told me "Ferrari does not make a workshop manual just for the 1981 308 GTSi. Instead they use 308 qv and 328 workshop manual". “

Well, that may not be quite true -

The first 308 WS manual looks like it was printed in a church basement.  Typed with courier font.  BUT, be glad it was in English – this may have been one of the first ones translated from Italian. AND, insult to injury, NUTHIN about GTS/B cars or body work.  All gt/4 stuff.  Great book if you are going to over haul the shocks and set tramp, niggle and shimmy specs.  Yeah, what I lived for.  The next manual, the one you have, had more stuff but its all pretty techy stuff.

Best thing is the parts manual and good imagination..

Ferrari’s answer?  The same as with the tool kits made in India – “take your car to the dealer – yer not supposed to be in there.”

Not until later did the WS manuals get better – maybe starting with the 348’s  Nice printing, slick pictures, two volumes of stuff.

Alas.

Subject: [Ferrari] 1981 308 workshop manual ?

I have a 1981 308 GTSi. I bought a CD on Ebay (180752746100) because the description clearly mentions there is a workshop manual for my Ferrari. I already had the onwer's and parts' manuals. It's the ONLY reason I bought it. A whole lot of useless documents are included, but no 1981 308 2v workshop manual. Before I leave a feedback, I wrote to the seller.

How can this be possible ? Is he putting me on ?

Thank you!
