These days, people who have access to an internet connection and a few knowledgable friends to communicate-with can get just as much information on any car 'out there' than any broker can provide.

 

There was nothing 'hidden' in the Sheehan article that couldn't have been easily found on Google - did you ever get-around to reading the Wiki article sent to you?  The car is what it is - I didn't read-in to anything that said I needed to be concerned about the Spellman connection - he didn't work on the car, or build it.  These machines should be sold based on their mechanical condition and road-worthiness more than 'who drove them'.....as-if Celebrity ownership in the past actually earned a price-premium over a car that was once owned by a drug dealer or something....I'd rather buy the drug dealer's car.  He probably had the money to MAINTAIN the machine, the celebrity probaby didn't give a damn.

I feel that if someone is known to be dishonest, it is our responsibility to make sure that all members know about this person. And that this is the perfect platform to share this news. There are many experts on this list, just look at the information that came back on the Sheehan car. Imagine if you bought this car believing what was told about it, and then having your FELLOW Ferrari owners laughing behind your back because you bought a piece of junk. It takes a person with money, usually through hard work, and expertise in a given field to afford a Ferrari. Honesty is the Best Policy.
