Do get the cam belts done (or just do it yourself). Last time I did it I did the belts, tensioners, valve adjust, new drive belts, etc for about $400 in parts plus 25 hours of my labor (over two days). Compare that to the dealer price, but also take into account your mechanical experience. Believe me, if I can do it it isn't rocket science. But on the other hand, you can really screw it up doing it wrong....

PS-Congrats on the new 328. I've driven that car (15 years ago I think) and it was a nice car back then at least....:-)
