It would not hurt to have a couple extra.
My wife on the other hand keeps telling me 'you will have 2 308's at the rate you are going'.
The origional lasted 30 odd years so if the new one lasts the same, well you do the math. if the cost and storage is not a problem.

It is like the relays I bought a full set, I have replaced 2, turn signal and fuel pump.

When I not retired the tech that supported the computer when he got a new part he would replace it to make sure it worked, if it did he would put back in the old part and keep the new as a spare.

There are 2 different relays I have those 2 in the car as spares. The turn signal is unique among the relays.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had seen that part but the manual says "electromagnetic sensor" and I was looking for 'crank sensor".
Now my mechanic said there are 3 of those around. Should I start buying the cheap ($) ones one list memeber saw on Ebay  and replace them.

1981 308 GTSi: As you know my mechanic changed my crank sensor this week. $176.00 for a new, one not original. I can't find it in my parts manual. What page is it on ? Sorry but I got to ask the list.
