I've often marveled at how great my German Shepherds are at multivariable differential calculus to be able to intercept airborne tennis balls at full speed.

Apparently David Coulthard is nearly as smart as my German Shepherd (he didn't have to figure out how to get the Mercedes airborn enough to intercept the ball - one less axis of diff eqs).

Now if Coulthard could catch a golf ball in a helicopter, THEN he'd be as smart as my GSDs...

Oh, I don't know, I routinely drive along a road that is parallel to a golf course and often wonder whether I might accidentally catch a ball in my sunroof from a golfer who hooks one off the tee.

So far I haven't even seen a ball hit the road yet but it sure should be a fairly common occurrence!

Actually catching a driven ball in a car on the move like Coulthard did is pretty amazing though!  I don't care how many times they tried it, that is phenomenal tracking and driving.
