I don't belong to any clubs, when F1 was in Indy the Ferrari club had a open collection - the Corvette club would drive through.
The KC had a show in Lawrence a few years back. They also had show when Senna was showing at a the Tivoli in KC.

I just don't park theFerrrari or the Porsche and leave them unattened, take truns driveing them oa a 45 mile loop on early mornings on weekends.

B4 I retired in 98, I would offer to drive when we would go to lunch, the response ' if wanted to walk we would walk'. I always parked at the far end of the lot, because at the end of the day it is MY CAR.

We've been fortunate enough that the current fleet includes Mercedes, Bentley and Ferrari.  My wife's step dad has my old 911 and a Cayman.  I think the bashing of other marques comes from the fact that most people can only afford one "nice" car and they are delusional in that they think that car really represents who they are.  I like the list, but I don't belong to any clubs, they're just cars at the end of the day...

I must admit Porschfiles do not like front engine Porsches, it used to be water cooled but since the 911 switched to water cooling.

At Ferrari get to gethers 3x8's are referred to as the Poor Mans Ferrari', which ticked my wife off, I ased her are we rich, 'NO', then you must be mad because it is true, I said.

I had owned a 79 928 Porsche and still own an 86 944Turbo purchsed European delivery.

When I was 60 I asked my wife if not now when to get a 308 Ferrari, the rest is history.

Just read this morning's digest - as opposed to my usual mass delete - and pondered all the British car bashing.

Its funny that about all other car guys revere Ferraris - and Ferrari guys despise everyone elses cars.  I wonder if that says something about the cars - or the people...

Rick,

around here that is not exactly like that.
Porsche guys in general despise the Ferrari's, most people love them but more and more people see them as symbols of (extreme) wealth, which is not good at the time. Some of my friends have been called "fascists" while driving the car!

Yes, some Ferrari owners despise OTHER Ferrari owners just because they own an older car or some model they consider inferior. It's the same with the Porsche community. Yes, it must be the people :-)
