I actually solved my problem. I had the wrong plug wires for my 2000 Ford Focus for over a year sitting in my room. I threw away the bill and could not return them. I cut one wire and got the steel connector off  and boom same size as the plug extension. Awesome! I'll test it tomorrow.

I have been real lucky with "Italian Car Parts" "www.Italiancarparts.com".  It just so happens that he is in West Linn, Oregon, about 15 miles from my house.  This guy runs this business out of his garage.  He really doesn't have much inventory, but he can get anything.  He can have it shipped directly to you from where ever he finds it.  You should look through his website or call him.

1981 308 GTSi: I changed my spark plugs today. I was almost done, then I got to the 7th plug in the front part of the engine. I pulled on  the wire and the plug extension remained in the hole with half the connector still on it.

It might not be called a 'connector', but it's the part that connects the extension with the plug wire. It bends in the middle to make it easier to take the extension out. That might be my backfire problem I've had lately. I was running on 7 cylinders.

 

Anyway, it is not in the parts manual. I guess it's something you must find at a car auto part store?

I went to a hardware store, but they had only one small model for house use I guess.

I can't even drive the Ferrari now. Please help!
