Wait until the crowd finds out this was
driven by Steve McQueen in the Great Escape - - - it will go for millions. BUWHahahahahahahhah But that said – (choke) about 15 years
ago when I visited my local German car parts purveyor I saw a silver 1978 (the
worst) 928 with a For Sale sign parked out front. Says Helmut, he is
selling his mothers 928 – a bit, uh, rough to say the least with dead
silver paint and open the door it smells like a 1940’s car that has been
left out in the sun and overheated. Everything is brittle and a tad
crusty. BUT – Helmut produces the owners manual - - and THIS car is
THE car in the owners manual. The pictures, the VIN, and the holes where
the Euro plate was screwed in. Wonder what happened to that car? DOUG From: Charles Perry

else: Love the Risky Business tie in - amazing that Porsche didn't
want the product placement back then. -- charles
