HELLO
     HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.
     MY CORVETTE EXPERIENCE IS
LIMITED TO SOME TIME IN A BIG
BLOCK SIDE PIPE MODEL FROM THE
LATE 60'S AS I RECALL. IT WENT
THROUGH TWO 396'S AND A MODIFIED
427 OVERHEATING IN SOUTH TEXAS.
STRAIGHT LINE ACCELERATION WAS
INTERESTING BUT AN EQUAL ENGINE
CAMARO OR FIREBIRD MIGHT WELL
HAVE BEEN FASTER.
     BODY WORK ALWAYS HAD
HAIRLINE CRACKING BETWEEN PAINT
JOBS. AS DID A 1953 6 CYLINDER
A NEIGHBOR OWNED THAT WAS SLOWER
THAN A BUILT GMC 6 PICKUP OF THE
ERA.
     NEWER VETTES LOOK BETTER BUT
SEEM TO HAVE BUILD ISSUES,
PARTICULARLY TRIM AND ELECTRONICS.
     A DECEASED FRIEND OWNED A HIGH
END SPEED SHOP (FUEL INJECTION
SPECIALTIES)FOR GM PRODUCTS IN
SAN ANTONIO. HE AND HIS WIFE ALWAYS
HAD CORVETTES BUT HE INSISTED ON NEW
PLUGS EVERY 2,000 MILES AS HE COULD
DEMONSTRATE A POWER DROP IF INTERVALS
WENT LONGER.
