Smart man I wear Rolex’s Just like you I take the back off when it starts losing time Have one for over 41 years The rest of the watches are POS for posers Clyde From: Erik Nielsen [mailto:judge4re [at] gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2013 9:13 AM To: Clyde Cc: The FerrariList Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Ferrari Watches I haven't had the back off of my 275LM yet, but my wife's one has been in the shop twice for various issues. Both of us just wear Rolex datejusts as our beaters. Mine is going on 18 years of more or less daily wear and hasn't been in the shop yet, probably has a million miles on it from air travel, been to the top of Mt. Fuji, yadda yadda yadda. My Tag dive watch was a POS when I was in high school, lost its water seal going down the Ocoee (and I stayed in the damn boat that run), haven't gotten another one. Charles, et. al., Recommend reading the thread on these watches on F-Chat before purchasing. Think - "You get what you pay for". And perhaps not even that. Eric, I also like the G-Ps I have, but rarely wear them anymore. They seem to need servicing as often as a Ferrari, and, dollar for dollar, are much more expensive to service than a Ferrari. And don't even get me started on their renegging on the "lifetime warranty" they promised when giving us the 360GT championship watches.... It's why my new "daily driver" watches are a very nice Tag Heuer Carrera and Citizen Eco-Drive (w/ radio control and perpetual calendar!). And make no mistake - I made quite sure that they knew that my new watch is a Tag! FWIW, YMMV, yadda yadda yadda..... gp _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/judge4re%40gmail.com
