Dear Ferrari List Friends, Thanks for all your posts. I am only interested in a 1975 or older model. I know there many newer models that would be fun an are cool but this is chance in a lifetime for me for a vintage Ferrari. I know the restoration/rebuilding cost are huge, that is why I am willing to pay top value for a car that has been already restored and or maintained at this level. I also have been around these cars for a while and do know that it is the wisest thing to is buy the most car you can afford. My budget will be inline with the Cavallino values listed below. I am also looking for a car with all tools and books as my car has and as all Ferrari should have. I think it is criminal that any of these cars are missing these items.... My GT4 is a collector car which I only drive on the weekends, never in rain, wind, dust, fog, traffic etc. I am looking for a car for similar pursuits, with the most outlandish being a drive up the coast a few hundred miles to Monterrey. It is never hot or cold here and has not rained all year long so if I can find a nice example it will be loved until passed on to its next caretaker. In the last Forza issue a local FCA member bought a decent 365 2+2 for 95K with a rebuilt engine and spent 110K and 18 months to get it to platinum level standard and win at the FCA Nationals. His car was repainted, new interior etc., at all the most expensive shops. This is the type of car I am looking for and once again hoping for all of your experience to help me locate and or evaluate some examples. Cavallino Magazine lists the values for the 365 2+2 as 110 to 185K, and the 365 GTC4 as 110 to 190K. I am curious as to what current or previous owners of theses models think about these prices. Here is a car in Montreal which looks nice but also has some scary bits to it. And here is a almost perfect looking C4 in the wrong color! Thanks again to all I welcome your comments and or advice. I can also be privately emailed. Rob Robert W.
