Actually getting the shocks off the car was about 6 hrs of work

Putting them on since they had new bushing and all and they were tight took around 10 hrs

The fronts have 2 different size shims 15mm and 17mm and that threw me for a major loop because you have 2 bolts and the size is so minor that I thought I was doing something wrong when one of the bolts would not go thru!

But other than that it was pretty straight forward

The shocks made all the difference in the world on the cars handling

Down the road I plan on changing out the fuel injectors but that should be simple I hope

Congrats and well done.  How many hours did it take (work wise, not general bitching and moaning about Italian engineering skills)?

Guys as you know I have had my 512 TR for a long time and I just replaced all 6 shocks on the TR,

That was a job to say the least.

If any of you decide to do that let me know because as usual there are some Ferrari tricks especially with the front shocks !

Anyway there was a time that I thought as I got older I would sell the 512 TR

Not anymore after doing this major service which totally made a difference on how the car rode I have decided never to sell the car!

Britt you were first on the list of people to get the car but I am sorry its mine forever.

I HAVE BONDED WITH THIS CAR FOR LIFE!

I just did a full A/C service as well(replaced the dryer) and I get 38 degree air out of the vents in Atlanta Georgia on a 98 degree day!

The car now has 97300 plus miles on it and I will break 100k on it  before the year is out.

Going to replace all the disc brakes when that happens.

When this happens I will have had over 100k miles on a 84 308 QV that I no longer own and over 100k on a 512 TR that I do own

Not many can say that they 200k miles of Ferrari driving behind the wheel!

I can.
