Eric, I'm thinking about $50,000 away from being a $5,000 car!

I really like them, can't be much wrong with a car that uses a tree as a dashboard along with acres of Wilton weave and dead animals inside.  The issue with them is really corrosion so check out the rear wheel arches and rear damper anchorage points along with the sills in the vicinity of the "A" pillars.

Parts can be had quite reasonably however the labour component can absoltely bury you so be careful.  As always, buy the best you can.  LWB version quite uncommon and would usually have the black everflex roof, go for it!

I would however, stray away from a car with a smokey engine unless it is stunning interior and paint wise.  RHD?  surely that halves the value again?

Carl.

I know it is off topic, but my collection is eclectic (and I'm okay with it).  Need a value on a 1971 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow LWB.  Probably a 4+/3- car, been repainted, no rust, smokes a bit on start up, needs a bit of woodwork and leather work.  RHD.

I'm thinking ~$4-6k, am I off base?

Thanks,
Erik
