That's one thing that has prevented me selling any of our old cars -
last time I sold something like that was 15 year ago when I sold a '65 MGB.  3 guys arrived in a RV - they were here buying any and all old sports cars to ship back to Norway where they were from.  They restored and sold them.   Anyway, I was apprehensive when they drove up in a RV and spoke with them with a hand on a 38 Snub Nose Detective Special.   Plus, at the time my wife was reading a lot of books about serial killers.  When they drove up she started telling me what that those guys were probably killers  in a RV driving up and down the east coast collecting victims!  (Hmm... good idea for a book?!)  I tried to ignore her but it's kind of like surf casting and thinking about Jaws -- highly unlikely anything would happen but I always keep a sharp eye out for big dark shapes.  Or worse, big shiney teeth!  Yikes!
I would have had trouble with 3 of them but i planned to put up a  fight - fortunately they were nice guys who were not looking for any trouble...   after that I decided to dispose of stuff differently.

Why on earth would anyone invite a stranger to their home for something like that when it would be so easy to meet potential buyer in a very public place?  I don't get that.....
