Get a hold of a new Consumer Report magazine.

Look for whatever has the most red rating balls.

Buy that.

Period.

We have lots of diehard Porsche buddies.

We've seen and heard the full spectrum with regards to reliability.

On one end are stories such as Adam's $100k flight of fancy to absolutely bulletproof, repair free experiences with the usual stealership maintenance situations.

My wife has had a Boxter but I've never had a P before.

Having said that, even the average of all of the stories is pretty dismal.

Honestly, as a seventh car, we don't want to gamble. This car needs to get my wife to work on a regular basis. I would rather save the maintenance budget for another exotic in the spring.

Lots of noise on this topic. My fun daily driver is an '08 Cayman. Best built car I have ever owned.
