Not a fastback, but probably worth a look for the price.

Subject: [Ferrari] Looking for a Mustang

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a Mustang fastback. The style used in Bullit although it doesn't have to be green. Does anyone know of a 67-68 Ford Mustang Fastback for sale and what the approximate cost would be? It cannot be hotrodded, modified from original on the egine/transmission/suspension (unless minor modifications that are not obvious), and doesn't have to be a show car or concours however a full resoration project isn't wanted either. Any ideas where to find and what such a car would cost. I am not wanting a $100k Mustang, just a solid driver.

If the list has any connections would appreciate it.

Kind regards
Britt

I'm at Goodwood revival every year and the same weekend is Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone so you could do Goodwood Friday and Sunday and Silverstone on Saturday which is what I did 2 years ago during the world record attempt. Don't wait To buy your tickets however, Goodwood always sells out by July/August. I will be there as always with a few FOC members so let me know if you are going.

Congratulations Francis! Looks fabulous. If you want to come up. To Greypaul in Solihull for the Tony Mason talk I am hosting for West midlands FOC area group let me know. It's next Thursday and there is always room for another.

I drove up in convoy with Jonathan Tremlett, which made it more special, and spent most of the day being congratulated on my purchase and complimented on the car (thanks Mark456M).

I'm lapping up all the other great experiences I have heard the rest of you talk about. Watching people taking pics of the car, hearing their comments about how lovely it looks, seeing kids point their phones at me to take a pic as I go past - and what was most lovely - an old lady, probably nearer 80 than 70, in my local Waitrose car park (I'd parked at the furthest point taking up two parking spaces of course) came up to me and told me how beautiful the car was and could she stand and listen while I started her. Of course the engine was quite hot and it took a few goes to get it fired up - but she looked delighted and blew me a kiss as I drove away. That really made my day. I think I'm going to enjoy Ferrari ownership even far more than I ever anticipated "
