Sent from my ATT Bell Rotary Dial Phone That’s a PRIZE too John! There is a spot in the movie 2001 that shows an up to date secretary blasting away on an IBM Selectrict. In 1968 or so – AC Clark and Kubrick were growing big Big BIG computers with HAL 9000. The concept of smaller hadn’t effectively invaded science fiction. As a docent on VC-137C tail number 27000, or Air Force One, there is a secretarial station. As people funnel thru, I like to ask the 10 to 14 y/o set – pointing to the Blue IBM Selectrict, “what’s that?” Almost all know it is a typewriter. So I ask them “do you know how to turn it on?” None do. Then I ask them if they know where the screen is? I get this big grin, then they turn to their mom with wide eyes – where is THE screen? It’s usually then that mom says she used to use one of these etc etc etc. Time marches on. Aka $! LOL!
Sent from my ATT Bell Rotary Dial Phone Road clearance, especially going up a steep drive way, has kept Terri and I away from seriously considering a Ferrari F333 SP Sport for the highway road use. Road clearance and a few million other things. Moving on DOUG
Oh, absolutely. My 308GTB has 3-5/8" road clearance under the front (deep) spoiler at a line connecting the front axles (lowest point). Driveways are challenging and speed bumps are just abominations (with or without adequate clearance). And it doesn't help that the nose is cantilevered out so far. My biggest risk is pulling into a driveway a little too near the edge where the kerb starts to rise. I've only nicked one spoiler that way but doing so produced a string of expletives that would make a sailor blush!

Hi Francis, et al.,
Warning: Opinions follow...
1. Well done on the re-jetting back to factory spec.. I'm always fascinated by previous owners who consider themselves more clever than professional engineers! That said, everything in a car is a trade-off. My guess is that your PO wanted a tiny bit more high speed grunt at the expense of drivability (slow running).
2. I definitely would restore the ride height to factory spec.. Same argument. Ride should be a little softer too without sacrificing handling or road-holding.
Well done on your ongoing restoration! Its an incredibly rewarding hobby, isn't it?!
