on another topic - I just finished reading the latest R&T
(August) which is full of articles about super cars, hyper cars, etc
- but the part I found the most interesting was the article about
maintenance cost associated with them - Enzo ceramic rotors are $6k
each with the wrong fluids damaging them. McLaren F1 oil change is
$8k (Ralph Lauren sends his 3 F1s to the factory for service BTW) -
and this tidbit - warm the Enzo engine with the $60,000 engine lid
open and the body will expand enough so the lid will not close until
the body cools. Stuff like that.... there's also a drive of the
P4/5 built by Jim Glickenhaus. The factory initially didn't want to
have any part of it but when it was done they liked it and allowed F
badges attached anyway, it's a great issue about special cars -- I assume some of you may be accustomed to service costs like those above but they takes my breath away. ;-) LarryT 74 911 (As super as I'm likely to get) On 7/6/2014 11:13 AM, Michel Savard
