Check out Jay Leno's Garage on YouTube. He did the Mille Miglia this year in an old Jag and it looked like one hell of a fun time. They were pushing the limits with these cars.

Ahh the Mille Miglia is run every year - - - if you have the car, the time, the partner, the sag wagon, the money - - - and what a fun time it is - - - - to see these old cars blasting away in Florence and the police holding back all traffic as one or two of the 1930’s cars comes waddling thru. Saw a group of Germans in Porsche 550 Spyders just pull over at a café – get out – have coffee – hop back in and away they went. Toddles (in German of course).
