Charles,
I know you've commented that you already found Hagerty too expensive. But in my searching for classic car coverage for the old blue car, they were about the only ones who said "ok" to the *occasional* drive in to work. Nothing against Grundy (never used them, and I respect Lashdeep's opinion/comments), but I did not get answers from them for my "mileage restriction" or "drive to work" questions. Also, they would not put the Spitfire on the policy because it was wasn't worth enough. Finally, though not significantly, they were a tad more expensive than Hagerty. One more thing, I know at least one other person with Hagerty (and with whom I discussed this at length) who has made several "not insignificant" claims, with nary a word toward dropping the policy or jacking the rates. FWIW, YMMV, NFI, yadda yadda yadda...... gp p.s. - I used to have the Spitfire on my "everything else" State Farm policy, and saved about $200/year by moving it to the Hagerty policy. Even w/ agreed value of $5K (on a good day, right?). ;-) |
