Pat asks “I thought they are identical to those of a Porsche 914.”

Michael Rozenstraten declares “They are not. The Ferrari version has larger pistons and a spacer between the two halves.”

And DOUG pontificates - A major word of caution – if they resemble a 914 rear brake at all be VERY careful about backing off the pads.  They have a small screw accessed behind a plastic plug.  Use that to back the pads away from the disc.  Under NO circumstances put a screwdriver between the pad and disc and force the pads away from the disc.  The later you can do to the front brake calipers.  When resetting the pads use the screw to set a clearance with a feeler gauge.  Failure to follow some strict, non-conformative procedures, will/may create a situation whereby the pads drive themselves into the discs while driving.  Ever seen a blue disc?  Ahh – pretty.  Pretty expen$ive.
