I did the pins every time I did an oil change

And I also lubed the hinges on the trunks as well and the hinge assy for the lights with graphite or spray silicon

Broke my 308 hinge pin ‘cause it WASN’T LUBED

May I suggest you lube your hinge pins.  It takes a zerk gun to do it with plenty of pressure.  What a system.

Mine failed – and the only thing that allowed the door to open is the pin BROKE – if you can see this – this was a thousand dollar fix (both doors – 4 broken pins) as one thing leads to another.

And the ONLY thing that was holding the driver’s door in place was 1/16th of an inch of the busted pin.  If that had failed I would have had a hand full.

Alas
