Jag went through a couple of owners/partners but I think their relationship with Ford actually improved their quality and manufacturing techniques to make themselves more profitable and have a better public image.     Their quality in the 70s was abysmal but of late it's acceptable.

YMMV

Who else wonders about what the future holds for Ferrari?  Not just because LdM has left, but also because of the Fiat/Chrysler merger.  Does anyone else think that F/C will destroy the Ferrari name/legacy?  Or does *everyone* else think that?

Jaguar also had a decade or two of floundering when its founder died in the 80's, but lately seems to be making a pretty strong comeback (if you haven't driven the new F-Type, you should - even if I could afford a new Ferrari, I might actually opt for the new F-Type R Coupe - it's a rocket ship!).

Thinking aloud here is all.....
