what if you remove the battery?  I agree with you about the governments ability to monitor us using all the things created to make life easier.   And yes, even if i am doing nothing wrong I still don't want to be watched.

Can the govt or ??? access my data if I am connected to the internet?  Like at night when I am not active but have a internet connection?  Does my firewall prevent that?

I am with you guys, not quite naïve enough to not realize it probably doesn’t make it difference, but no ATMs, no CC#s or bank #s on my computer for me(a triple and 1/2 negative to keep you on your toes), and I am thinking about ditching personal CCs and cell phones but haven’t figured out how to do the airlines except via travel agency.  If you turn a cell phone off and leave it off, can they still follow you around? bgl

I know I may be alone here and probably one of the poorest guys on the list but I will gladly pay more taxes if they use it on fixing the roads!  HA

I dont like being tracked and I think police have the ability to stop newer vehicles via OBD software???

The only thing that stops the GT4 is me taking it apart.

Rick – is this on the same bill whereby all Californian’s will wear chest monitors and pay a CO2 tax based on the exhale content?  Man, I gotta love ol Jerry.

Did you see where Governor Moonbeam signed the law starting the commission to look into charging us 1.5cents per mile driven on California roads?   And how are they going to track that??  Is there no place left where sanity prevails?  I need a time machine.

Excellent suggestion Rick - the cars already HAVE a button for that - it's
called PIT LANE.  Of course the person risks creating a Jim Hall career
ending wreck when he hit the rear of Lothar Motschenbacher's Lola at the
exit of turn one at the last Stardust GP CanAm. Nov 1968.  I looked for a
picture of Hall flying upside down but couldn't find one.  His car landed
upside down and broke in half.  Broke both of Hall's legs just below the
knee I believe.
