I saved (still save some) magazines for many years - R&T back to thre mid 60s C&D to the 70s (started sending them to recycling last week.  I receive Hemmings Sports & Exotic which I like a lot -  and it covers a lot of models and topics.   I also get Panorama which is the PCA mag - they contains lots of great technical stuff as well as club stub and beautiful photos. I have a few UK publcations I really like but they're just too expensive to buy all the time -- $130 or more for a year is just more than I will spend.  I have a few years of Forza and have Excellence back to #1 and a few others.   At this point I just don't have the room or need for them anymore.   When I was younger I might come across a old sports car I was thinking of buying - I'd go to my R&T and find articles  concerning my target.   But those days are over.

My problem is I lone books and magazines for the articles with their knowledge and the photography for the art.    I hate the thought of throwing them out and they're too heavy to sell and ship.  So for now they're on a shef and one day I'll find someone who will take them.  There's just too much great info in them just to toss.   I need to go through them one day and do a inventory.

I also have a wall of auto related books which I have trouble thinking of selling but one day they need to go.   I have 12 or so Autocourse which are yearly F1 annuals which contain so much info and photography I can't bear to get rid of them but I should.   They're mostly 1980's with a few in the 90s.

The frustrating part is I love some of these publications and I'd like to buy more but can't justify it.   I still go back and re-read the Autocourses now and then and look at the photograhy even more.

Anyway, that's my story & I'm sticking to it.

Ahh, the stacks of old “I’m gonna return to THAT article magazines” piles up.  I actually did get some labels to put over my address and took them to a retirement home.  There, they have a table, sorta like an in house library, where the residents can pick up and read THEN return them to the table for others to read.  On my second load, the nice lady at the counter remarked that my magazines go in one direction - - to the persons room then to their visitors then out the door.  Huh.  At my Dr’s office I got tired of reading TV Guide (yes TV Guide), many ladies mags and NOTHING ‘male.’  Well, he’s in practice with several others.  So I took my extra National Geographic’s and also signed him up for a ‘free’ guest subscription to Road & Track.  The NG’s melted like an ice cube at noon on a hot summer day and I haven’t seen one R&T make it to the waiting room.

Alas
