No debate, the 550/575 is fast, comfortable and easy to drive. I have experienced that myself from many hours behind the wheel of them.
I have no idea why I didn't think of the Maserati earlier...much prettier and has timing chains. Also, the sound is RIDIC...one of the best exhaust notes in a long while.
The issue is that for the 10th vehicle in the stable, I need MUCH more than comfortable and easy to drive. And I can't put up with any engineering problems (melting interiors, timing belts, etc.)

Listers….I’m not sure what all the vitriol is about. I have both a 1985 TR and a 2005 575M-F1. There are very different cars, but loved for those differences, and not solely because of the marque. Clyde’s opinion of the 575 is accurate….and although I did own Porsche (356B) a long time ago, I’ve never worn disco gold chains. The 575M is a comfortable GT car that is easy to drive and astonishingly fast. If you get a silver one, the state police pay no attention to you. Interior leather is an issue, but so what. The TR is much more challenging to drive well, but compared to the Enzo cars of the 60s and 70s, the TR is a dream to drive. It’s all relative.
Now, I’ve never driven a modern Aston Martin, but from what I understand, they are easy to drive and build quality is up world standards for exotics. They perform well and they look great, not unlike the 550/575/599………….. so, money aside, I’d say that it boils down to personal taste…for which there is no accounting.
Best regards,
Dick Petrick

The 550/575 was and still is Ferraris Stealth Uber car, fast but doesn't look fast!

That crowd you speak of goes for flash and no class!
There is no flash on the 550/575 in fact if you took the prancing horses off the fenders you would not know it was a Ferrari
We like it that way
That crowd that you seem to be enamored with goes to your beloved Viper and shit box GTR and turbo 4 cylinder rat cars with oversized exhaust pipes that make more noise than horse power
In victory you deserve Champagne
In defeat you need it!
